I didn’t know Becky very well but she treated me with respect and kindness. When I was visiting several years back she and the entire family welcomed me and treated me like family. I was touched by her kindness and genuine love. I pray that the Lord helps this family in it’s time of grief. She will be missed. Rest in peace Becky. Sincerely, Dina Hon
Guy, I,m really sorry about Becky. I remember ya,ll way back when. Calvary was booming, Mike McGinnis was pastor and Gorden and Bryan Read were there too. We left Bristol for Macon Ga about same time the Daughtry,s left too,a 1986. I was the one Mike told every body on TV that God was a miracle maker if I could have a baby at 36 with daughter Shannon 12 then. Baby born in 1984. Friends with Beth and Garry Leonard too. Just a few things to shake your memory.
Praying God,s comfort and peace be with you and Lindsey. With God all things are possible as He directs your path.
Lyndsey, Ron and I were sorry to learn of your mom’s passing. Darrell Patrick, our friend, said she had been very sick. You have always been so nice to us any time we came into Food City. We will be out of town and will not be in Bristol to pay our respects but wanted you and your father to know we are sorry for your loss and are thinking of you both.
Becky was so kind and cared for others. Dad (Bob Long) when he could no longer make it to church, looked forward to her calls every Sunday afternoon. He spoke highly of her and you, Guy. I’m so thankful she went out of her way to check on Mom and Dad.
Praying for peace and comfort for you and your family.
Becky, the best neighbor ever! Our move to Va was wonderful as Guy & you became our neighbors! Always available for porch talks, coffee times & Cracker Barrel fellowships ! Becky had no enemies because God’s love flowed out to all she encountered! She is loved by many & missed on this Earth but one day we will be neighbors again & Jesus will be forever with us! I love you Guy & Lindsey & others! Frank & I wish we could be with and we will in the Spirit!

Guy, Lindsay and family I’m so very sorry for your loss. I cherish many fond memories of Becky and your family when we lived in Bristol. She was an outstanding person…wife and mom. She loved you all dearly. She will be sorely missed in your life. Death is hard and takes a long time to overcome the loss. I know with the loss of Tommy. I’m visiting Stephanie in FL for awhile so won’t be able to come to funeral. Please keep in touch. Would love to reconnect on FB. Thoughts and prayers for you all at this time. God bless you all in this time. She’s home now and free from pain and sorrow. Love you all…old friends!

Becky was an incredible woman of God. She trusted to the very end. We are so sad for your loss Guy and Lindsay and grieve with you. And yet we rejoice that she’s in the presence of Jesus now, free of pain as she worships her Savior. We are praying for you every day.
Lindsey and Guy, just wanted to let you know how sorry I am for your loss. I didn’t know it until I asked about you, Lindsey at FC this afternoon. As we’ve talked about Becky’s illness and how you’ve prayed for a healing miracle, I think you got one. Not the way you may have wanted, but rest assured she’s healed! You all have been, are, and will continue to be in my prayers.
Guy & Family: Our condolences and heartfelt sympathies to you all. I can recall very clearly there were certain “couples” during the John S Battle years who just seemed to be created for one another, and they went throughout high school inseparable. The envy of all the rest of us. Guy, you and Becky were certainly one of those iconic couples that comes to my mind. Nearly fifty years of marriage not counting the years of dating in high school. How fortunate you both were to share such a long and fruitful life. May God, in his infinite mercy and grace, grant you peace of heart during your time of grief, and may you cherish the many memories of Becky in life.
Lindsay I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. She was such a sweet person. She always treated me so kind and never judged me for any of my mistakes. I loved her for that and many other things. She will be greatly missed. Love y’all
So very sorry to hear of the loss of an amazing person. Prayers and sympathies to Guy, Lindsay, Michael and Joseph.
