It was always a pleasure to see Eva at JCPenneys downtown……then I worked there for three years when the store relocated to the Bristol Mall.
I had many opportunities to say hello as I passed thru the catalog department.

Eva was such a sweet lady. She always spoke to me when I saw her out.
Ms. Eva has been a friend of my family for many years. Seeing her at McDonalds or Perkins was Always welcomed with a smile. My dad Dallas and my sister Gwen will miss her daily..
When Pastor Jerry’s phone rang, I knew it was either an extended warranty call or Eva. Tracy got his phone. But the time she got to the office, she was in tears. Eva. My first thought was . . . “What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see . . No more sickness no more pain.”

Greg, I’m so sorry to read about your Mom’s passing. She was such a sweet lady and I have fond memories of her being on jury duty, more than once. Never complained and always smiling and eager to be there. She made my job so much easier. You will treasure your memories. Prayers for you and your family.
My husband, Jerry, and I used to see Ms. Eva at McDonalds when we would go there after church particularly. She always had a smile and we would talk for several minutes and she always talked about the Lord and what blessings he had bestowed upon her life. It was always a highlight of our visit to McDonalds, Lee Highway, when she would be there with her smile and her kindness!! So sorry for the family’s loss, but rejoicing for Ms. Eva”s new life with Jesus and her loved ones who have gone before her to welcome her home!! Love and prayers to each one of her family!!!
