Lydia Gail Sampson Burton, age 64, of Bristol, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. She was born November 14, 1956 in Kingsport, Tenn., a daughter of the late Garnet and Juanita Ruth Wood Sampson. Lydia was a former supervisor for K-Mart. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, J.W. Sampson.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Pastor David M. Burton; sons, Laurin David Burton, Bryan Michael Burton and wife Christa; brother, Lynn Sampson; sister, Barbara Sexton; grandchildren, Brooke Blackburn and husband Spencer, and their son, Kane, Hailey Burton, Aiden Burton and Chloe Burton; several nieces and nephews
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2021 at Mountain Home National Cemetery, 215 Heroes Drive, Mountain Home, TN 37684, with Rev. Bill Christian officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church, c/o Church Treasurer, 711 Columbia Rd, Bristol, TN 37620.

Sorry about your loss sweet wife. I remember her when I grew up in Central Baptist church with her and 2 sons. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
