Verna Jane McNamara, age 90, of Bristol, Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born February 25, 1931 in Bristol, Va., a daughter of the late Norman and Sarah Booher. Verna was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area and worked for various sewing factories. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, I.W. McNamara.
Survivors include her children, Marilyn Rosenbalm and husband Ronnie, Allen McNamara and wife Mary, Barbara Osborne and husband Ronnie; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and siblings, Vilas Johnson and Bobby Booher.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Booher’s Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Leroy Fleenor and Rev. Bill Denton officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Weaver Funeral Home.

What a precious lady Jane was. Went to church with her for many years. Remember her sweet parents, Norman and Sarah. I know there is rejoicing in heaven.

Barbara,Marilyn and Allen I did not find out until today Jane had passed. I am so sorry for your loss. Jane was always so good to me and my family. Her smile just lit the room and when she helped Daddy with Momma we loved it and her cooking. She was really good Momma and I will always remember her for that, My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.
